Disability Access and Wheelchair Ramps Nottingham
Access ramps serve many purposes but are especially needed to make accessible areas for those with disabilities. These people may use a wheelchair, mobility scooter, walking frame, rollator or rely on a walking stick or sticks to get around.
The ramp is used in all cases to cross a height change where there is no other option. This is a problem that doesn’t work with wheel-based carriages, and is very challenging for people with walking disabilities.
The ramp is, in all forms, the best option for allowing mobility-challenged people and persons with disabilities access to different levels both indoors or outdoors.
Access and Wheelchair Ramps
The Disability Discrimination Act has changed the way accessibility issues are dealt with. Businesses and service providers no longer have to make it difficult for disabled people to access their buildings and complexes.
The act has made it mandatory for service providers and product suppliers to make their premises more accessible for the disabled. Because of the financial stakes involved in a legal challenge, it is important to choose the right disabled access provider.
Most UK homes aren’t equipped with ramps for disabled people. If someone in the family is disabled, or has difficulty walking up stairs, they will have trouble entering or exiting the home.
Disabled Access Ramps
You may be able to build it yourself. This will allow you to save money if you are skilled in carpentry.
It is best to hire someone to help you if you don’t know what you are doing. Because the wheelchair and person will be using the ramp, the ramp must support their weight. Also, you need to know the dimensions of the ramp.
We can provide you with a safe, sturdy ramp that is permanent and solid to allow for easy access to your home from any location. Our ramps are made of concrete, tarmac, or block paving. They come with the right galvanised tubing handrails.
